The Handmade Tale
Sarah has been crafting and painting, stitching and knitting, drawing and gluing since she was small. During her time at St. Lawrence University, Canton NY, she fostered her love for the arts by studying painting, drawing, printmaking and jewelry. She graduated with honors in Fine Arts in 2007 and she worked as a seamstress in the University's costume department.
Today Sarah creates practical accessories and toys out of recycled, vintage and sustainable materials. She has dabbled in printmaking, metal-smithing, beading, basket weaving, oil paints, colored pencils, soft pastels, acrylic paints, pencil and charcoal. Though her interests are broad she has recently been focusing much of her energy on sewing and knitting. She also loves plants and gardening and hopes to one day have a small lawn where she can grow more of her own vegetables.
Please check the gallery for examples of her recent work and feel free to drop her a line using the contact form provided.

Other Artists and Businesses of Note
As a staunch supporter of the arts it only seems fitting that I find a spot for my friends that are living creative lives and continually inspiring me. You guys are the best:
24 East Main Street Bed and Breakfast
Located just north of the Adirondacks in Canton New York and owned and operated by Charles Rouse, this Bed in Breakfast is a cozy and intimate getaway. Because of its vicinity to St. Lawrence University, many of the guests at this B&B are affiliated, but this little gem is worth the trip to upstate New York; whether you're an alum or not.
Fillth
Phill, the artist behind Fillth, is a budding graphic artist with a flair for interesting materials and and bright colors. His works range from stenciled vinyl to silk-screened T-shirts and each design has a tongue-in-cheek attitude and a feeling of fun. His simple, unique designs are growing in popularity and you can see his stuff on his blog, Flickr and Etsy.

Pearl to Moon Photography
Ryan Prenger is a gifted photographer with a knack for capturing beauty in simple everyday objects and charming portraits. His website, Pearl to Moon Photography displays his talents, his mission a blog and even has some lovely photos for sale (I particularly like the Bulk Orphans series). Check him out.
