I have a secret.  I love to use recycled materials, especially when I am sewing.  It all started with Stuffies, hand-sewn stuffed animals born out of a simple desire to find a new use for out-of-date or worn out clothing.  I was pawing through my closet one day and noticed that I had an abundance of sweaters, socks, t-shirts and pants that were either full of holes, no longer in fashion, or just too small.  Many of these things were too worn out to send to the Salvation Army or Goodwill so rather than throw out the perfectly functional fabric I decided to make a stuffed bunny for my sister.  From there I have gone on to create pin-cushion rings, cowls knit from left-over bits of yarn and even the occasional pot-holder.
